2007 has been a great year for the funny farm @ fa, we have had more than forty people visit us and share their cultures and humours with us. the farm has moved on in leaps and bounds, although it still makes no profit, we have managed to feed and house all the visitors without going into debt! not bad for a small subsistence farm.
Our animal census is approximately 40 sheep, 14 goats, 40 odd chickens and ducks, three dogs and several cats - one less mouse thanks to the traps!
the people at the moment are me, (emanwela) the children, salix and fabien, and Ryan, our australien helpxer, who is GREAT!!! definately to be featured on our hall of fame!!!
the garden is freezing, but the beans, garlic and peas are in and hopefully will overwinter without feeding too many mice or birds and we will have early croppings - especially in the greenhouse. the taps are freezing nightly - minus eight point five on saturday night. but the days are warm and sunny.
hope this first blog entry is one of many, e
