there is so much to tell you! justin and the children are back safe and sound there are some judo photos on their way. Sid had his assessment and passed with flying colours. Kirsten has been walking the sheep around the garrigue - wildness of the foothills of the Pyrenees - a specific, particular landscape. Aaron went off on a mad jaunt to Limoges (north of here allegedly), and arrived back with blisters on his feet just in time to join us for the last couple of songs on Sunday. Which was wonderful. we are working on a few famous pieces...
just found your comment tina! not very good at this yet;) yes, i wonder if he means what do they eat??? still, i am trying to encourage the gentle side of fabien's character!... see you soon!
Did the VAT stuff on time! yippee!
the chicks are looking good - next time i will have access to a camera - maybe in time for the ducklings...
Kirsten, Jura, and Justin went up the hill preparing the new pasture ( read: beautiful pieces of country-side that we own bits of paper pertaining to...) for the sheep. The goats are being diminished in number, which is a polite way of saying that we are either eating them or selling them on. hard facts, cant keep goats and grow garden. not an easy decision, for lots of reasons. The farm is evolving, the sheep will hopefully be milked instead, so we lose the problematic goats and gain a garden and keep the milk too - sheeps milk is particularly lovely and easily digested by humans (cutting down consumption of lactose is a good idea i think!). I think you already know from the website that the GUIRRA race are husbanded for their meat, and their milk.
learning about FTP so that i can update the website from home.....
