Dedicated to Garrett, Chris, Claire and Wally

Sometimes we meet people that just make us happy, and remind us of why we are breaking our backs and living as we do. why we dont live in a house in london and get a job!

The last two weeks we have talked politics, life, love and compost with a n.irish lady, s. irish blokey and a sheffield guy. It has really been a great team, and to top it all, a poem has not been written...

NOT a poem

I tried to write a poem
about our time in Fa
I asked a sheep to help me
but all she said was Baa

The chickens were no better
when i talked to them through the gate
The cockerel was very quiet
as he sat there on the plate

I went down the grange to see Garrett
as he has a poetic soul
but all he said was something
about digging a feckin' hole

In the end I went to Wally for help
eventually found him and then,
I soon realised he was distracted
barking at nothing again

Fabien, Salix, Justin, Ivor and Wela
I have failed to write a pome
but thank you thank you thank you
for welcoming us to your home

We've learned from wela in the garden
about vegetables, compost and sowing
and what justin doesnt know about sheep
probably isnt worth knowing

We will never forget little Ivor
Whose smile lights up his face
we look forward to seeing him grown up
when we return to this place

Finally, Salix and Fabien
what can i say about them?
We are happy and pleased to know you two
such bright and funny young men

we've had such a great time that
we dont want to leave. Thanks
again for all the wisdom
wisecracks, food, facts, and fun

by Chris and Claire
