the digger arrives
we take possession of a mini digger today, and the good news is that a permaculture expert is going to come and advise us on our project. salix has been doing his first kayak certificate, the green one where he learns about the environment. So he has had a break, living at aunty saveria's for a few days. fabien has been brilliant without his brother around, he has created a part of the garden, filled it with flowers, lettuce and beetroot. lovely. We have two new helpers, Kieren from Maine, USA and Alana from Bristol. we have done so much, what a great pair. seedlings being potted up, new seeds in, the sheep are being walked again, and the spring is obvious in the garden. the chickens are laying nicely, we have new chicks too, thanks to Ian in Esperaza, our incubator master. Ivor is learning to swallow, slowly. Very slowly. So he is no longer simply a product of yours truly, but is now eating from the big wide world. tastes of lots of new things. The toads are back in the garden, and the spinach tastes great. I particularly liked the irony of the comment i received today, on a post published several months ago, december 22 2009. Ivor needs to go home.
