what a year!

2010 has been an interesting year... as we approach the coldest period, the boys and I are living in the village of Fa, spending our first nights here since fabien's birth, with electricity on tap(!), hot water downstairs and a fire in the grate. WOW. I have discovered a new love for hoovering, toasters, morning showers and electric kettles. Justin is staying at the farm, looking after the animals, and designing a goat house for a friend.
Salix is taking part in the handball team at school, and the circus skills workshop is a big hit. Homework is not top priority, but his 'moyen' in 12.5 which means he is doing allright and will not have to retake the year.
Fabien is enjoying being the biggest in the school, and not bullying! His times tables are coming on a storm, we are on the sevens now, having done all the rest. Saved the sevens until last! Rugby is his life, they won their match yesterday, so a satisfied boy came home, showered, and got his book out to read.
Ivor is such fun, so cute with his 'wow' and 'how' and 'shoo' and possibly a No this morning. He loves shaking his finger when he knows something is wrong, as well as his head, i find all kinds of things in my bag when i go to look for my purse, and he is so busy he hardly has time for hugs!
Right now he is emptying the ash all over the newly hoovered floor... ARGHHHH
preparations for the festive season, and the move to Couiza when the flat is available......
