Ivor visits Uk
We had a little adventure the other day, Ivor surpassed himself. Nanna's house is a Victorian London suburb semi-detached and one of the toilets is downstairs and real handy. Everything was running well, precision timing being necessary due to a desire to go out visiting, sort Ivor out, feed us lot and slot tea and conversation with sister Xandrija in. I decided to visit the lavatory before checking the cannelloni and took the decision to shut the door even though the oven was on, as I risked being disturbed. I heard Ivor playing with the keys, but since it is a big old key, and takes a proper twisting motion to turn, I said jokingly 'you had better not lock me in' FAMOUS LAST WORDS. How I shall never know, Ivor managed to lock me into the weirdly lit 1 meter by 1 meter (ok, I exaggerate) WC. Oh yes, several minutes of banging and cajoling, silence in the hopes that the sixteen month old will succeed in his efforts to put the key back into the hole, efforts which amazed his locked up mother. Xandrija upstairs playing the violin, I forlornly hope that one of my bangs will coincide with one of her pauses... Nano? Kyle? will someone arrive and save me (ha ha love the drama). Sending Extra Sensory Perception thought waves to Xandrija to either just release me, or get hungry and come down and check the oven, which is of course what happened eventually. Deserted Ivor screamed almost the whole time despite my soothing words through the keyhole. Then I fell silent, hoping that he would 'forget' that I was there and go to find the source of the music (Xandrija's violin). Possibly one of the longest half hours of my life... Beautiful Relief hearing Xandrija's voice. Ivor slept well that night...
