oh well, today, I lent a cat to a friend, she has gone from wild outside, never allowed inside, to a fireside spot, spoilt and no dog to contend with. Cat heaven. And the sheep appear to have disappeared. There were at least 16 left, and today, only 3 in the barn. I could see no exit signs, and the three that are left are scared too. I also saw a big black dog (not a good sign) on its way up to the farm.
I can see that tomorrow I shall be spending time wandering around the mountain, especially if the weather is good (which it has been glorious!) Unfortunately, the sheep that are left have no bells, are young and dont really know the routine so well. And the 4x4 is off the road, in a bad way! Back to shanks poney. And an untrained dog, following the disappearance of Poppy.
There were plenty of eggs on the plus side, and the chickens loved the straw I put down. The garden is slowly coming back to life, all the signs are there. Pruning and tidying up in earnest now. The boys loved it today at the farm, and did not want to leave. Ivor slept the whole time we were there, so did not cover himself in manure.
