and i cant believe that it is over a month... ooops, anyway, we have had a wonderful couple of months, with help from sylvain, lots of good work has been done, the garden has advanced, and the goats have given birth so now we have fresh milk every day. phew. videos to follow, explicit of the birth. and i am pregnant, so the lowry family will gain another worker in a few years! salix has become the milker, fabien looks after the eggs, and we have been offered some rabbits, so that may become a reality. salix has to promise to look after them, otherwise i am not interested! photos and so on of recent stuff to come, off to call the animals in from the park, which we have newly electrified, so the animals should still be there, if a little shocked (!), separate the kids from their mothers for the night so we can steal the milk in the morning, check on number 31 lamb who looked on his last legs recently, so have been boosting him with some goats milk. his mother appears to be ignoring him suddenly :(
we are eating spinach galore and the parsley, chives, lettuce, spring onions, coriander are going down a treat. the chickens and ducks have started to lay again, twenty odd eggs a day, including duck eggs mmmmmm. and a new chick has hatched, chez Ian (thanks ian) who also hosts the website. he is proud father of i hope about fifteen chicks in the next couple of days thanks to the incubator... the last lot only produced four rather beautiful chicks, which are already holding their own with the other adult chickens. rain has been constant, good for garden, not good for my stinking cold, thus the lack of reports! more soon, here are some photos...
