Hello Xandrija, heard you missed your trip to Oman because of the volcanic ash, hope they rebook! hope you have had a spiffing day, love you loads and have been thinking of you for days, the boys all send their love and squishy hugs and ivor sends a bit of dribble!!!!!!!!
well mum, i promise i will do my best not to give ivor the dummy! his portable boob. what an amazing invention, but i can see how it becomes a systematic tool.
Over the easter period we have had great fun singing about tarzan's tan, and hoping it doesnt peel like a banana ( ask Lucienne the younger about this )
Last week we said goodbye to Ciaran and Alana and hello to Hugo. we have seen the potatoes planted, new beds made thanks to the digger, ivor reached his six and a half months and started eating solids properly (ok, he still has some difficulties...!) too cute.
We have had noah to stay on holiday for a few days, they did a whole day kayaking, and spent the night at Aunty Tana's in Chalabre, where we went to pick them up the next day. Myself and Fabien and Ivor spent the day with the local rugby team trekking down towards Narbonne for the day where Fabien played in a tournament, won a medal and a syringe-shaped pen (bit dodgy if you ask me!), and sat in the front with the trainers on the way home because he felt ill! great day out! lots of rugby songs were sung (kinda glad i didn't understand them!)
In the garden the first pea was shared between three people, the second one scoffed by salix!!! we have been eating spinach for weeks, and we have just frozen some too, as well as giving lots away! the beetroots are coming on, lettuce every day, chives already flowering, hoping to dry some herbs for you mum! all the seedlings look great and the new hot bed created by Clare and Chris is functioning perfectly. A distinct lack of slugs this year. I am not sure if this is because of the cucumber or the beer traps!!!!
we are also preparing for the vide grenier of the school (car boot sale), so lots of extra activities, putting out posters, flyers...
yes, spring does seem to be a busy time of year, tiring but all good projects.
Sunday market was so busy at Esperaza that i ended up hiding and running away! bought my 50kilos of organic flour from Rolf over the hill and some fruit and veg, and picked up the new wwoofer!
have six young boys for dinner, plus the two male adults!!! where are all the girls eh????
here are some recent photos, in which you will see some peppers from last summer, a cup of tea in my favourite space (the greenhouse), some of our fantastic eggs, our digger with ivor the digger driver, the rangule of fabien, various family photos, including one of denise, alex and saveria in the midst of their prefered activity, oh, and reuvan prodding ivor. he is immensely prodable.
